Apparently Arturo Gatti’s wife, former stripper Amanda Rodrigues, is a real mental case. The Brazil Police believe that Amanda strangled Arturo with the strap from her purse. She was taken in to custody because her story was considered “inconsistent and incoherent.” There are some holes in this story. Lets see what ya’ll can figure out…

Boxing champ Arturo Gatti’s wife was arrested yesterday by Brazilian cops who suspect she strangled him with her purse strap, as people close to the slain fighter said they had long feared that either “he was going to kill her or she was going to kill him.”
Gatti’s wife, Amanda Carina Barbosa Rodrigues, 23, was being held yesterday because the Brazilian native can’t explain how she didn’t realize for nearly 10 hours that he was dead in a beach-resort apartment where they were staying with their 1-year-old son.
She is expected to be charged with his murder. A police spokeswoman told Reuters: “She [Rodrigues] is the only suspect.”
Police said they believe that Gatti – who was found dead early Saturday – was strangled with a handbag strap, and that the granite-jawed boxer also suffered a head injury.
The bloody strap was found in the apartment at the Porto de Galinhas resort.
Gatti, 37, reportedly was drunk and arguing with his wife Friday night at a resort bar.
Gatti’s friends yesterday were mourning his murder – and were not surprised to hear that Rodrigues might be involved. The former junior-welterweight champ and his wife were extremely jealous and often squabbled when out socially and drinking in New York, Montreal and Brazil, sources told The Post.
From the beginning of their relationship, his friends, family and boxing advisers warned that she was young, immature and gunning for the millions he had earned in the ring, sources said.
One source said that their disputes were sometimes violent and that she did not hesitate to physically attack him. He told people close to him that she threw a lamp at him last month in Montreal, where they moved after living in Weehawken, NJ.
“The feeling was that either he was going to kill her or she was going to kill him,” the source said.
Gatti’s family, who sources said were not the least bit shocked by Rodrigues’ arrest, learned of the murder while attending his sister Anna’s wedding in Florida.
“A lot of people in his inner circle felt that this wasn’t the right girl for him,” said Carl Moretti, VP of the boxing promotional company Top Rank Inc.

Dr. Wallace Goodstein, who worked alongside Michael Jackson’s plastic surgeon, sheds some light on Michael Jackson’s numerous rhinoplasties, etc. and dermatologist Dr. Arnold Klein (Paris and Prince’s biological father) discusses skin issues…

“He had multiple surgeries,” says Dr. Wallace Goodstein, who worked beside Jackson’s surgeon in the 1990s. “He came in approximately every two months. It was about 10 to 12 surgeries in two years, while I was there.” As for the specifics, says Goodstein, Jackson “had multiple nose jobs, cheek implants and he had a cleft put in his chin. He had eyelid surgery … You name it he had it.” Goodstein also opines that Jackson underwent operations that he never should have: “He had so many things that were inappropriate.” Eventually, the surgeries took a toll on his face. “His nose became so small because he was operated on repeatedly,” says the source. “He has barely anything left for a nose.” Jackson eventually turned to dermatologist Dr. Arnold Klein for a solution. “I rebuilt it [his nose] … using fillers,” Klein revealed in a July 8 interview with Larry King. “I used hyaluronic acids, and they worked very well. It’s an arduous procedure, because you don’t want to put too much in. And you have to do it exactly, so you can flow the material so it’s perfectly smooth.”
Jackson was pleased with the results, says his dermatologist. “I’m telling you that he was beginning to look like the nose was normal again,” Klein – who recently addressed rumors that he is the biological father of Jackson’s children Prince, 12, and Paris, 11 – said in the TV interview. “And that’s all I wanted, and [to] regain the breathing passages of his nose, because there was a total collapse of the cartilage.” You have one choice where you can use certain drugs and ultraviolet light treatments to try to make the white spots turn dark,” Klein explained. However, Jackson’s vitiligo “became so severe, that the easier way is to use certain creams” – very likely hydroquinone derivatives, say other industry experts – “that will make the dark spots turn light so you can even out the pigments totally.” The treatment resulted in a uniform – albeit pale – skin tone. “That’s ultimately what the decision had to be. He would have to wear heavy, heavy makeup on stage, which would be ridiculous. And he couldn’t really go out in public without looking terribly peculiar.”
